Hoitovirhe - Turmion Kätilöt (2004)

Since I'm from the US, I don't know if this act is considered "cringeworthy" or as a band that "fell off" in Finland, but I was recommended this by a Finnish girl I befriended years ago in a community on Twitter who I've sadly lost contact with. She recommended me "Seinä" and I remember not exactly feeling blown away, but rather that this was a sound I hadn't considered. The songs on this album resemble Rammstein's earlier works, but with a crunchier, more satisfying electro-industrial kick that Rammstein doesn't fully possess—at least to me. And I've listened to Rammstein since I was 13. Listening to this album has also reminded me how good the Finnish language feels on my ears.
I really don't know why it took me so long to finally listen to this after being recommended it five years ago, but I'm glad I got around to it. I'm no music critic, but I think I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. My favorite tracks are "Teurastaja", "Seinä", "4 käskyä", and "Rautaketju".
