This is what I consider to be the more embarrassing part of this website...
Because of a fair amount of very potentially identifying information being shared here, even with the vague language I've used, I'd rather keep my identity semi-anonymous. No pictures of me will be shared here both now and in the past for my own privacy, something that I value. However, this is what I am willing to share here!
You can call me Adéla/Adela. This is not my real name, but I'm admittedly having a bit of a crisis at the time of updating this page further (3/30/2026). Alternatively, you can call me "A" because of my preference for obscuring people's names with their initials.
I was born in April in 2001. I'm from a small town in the midwest; moved around a bit as a kid, but I never left the midwestern United States. I'm an ISFP (I think), a language—not linguistics—nerd, and a bit of an anachronist. I'm a huge fan of music and will listen to everything but country. I sadly haven't been able to do much with my life at all—my last major accomplishment was graduating high school back in 2019—but I do hope to make the best of my life in whatever ways I can. While all I've known is being in poverty, I really want to travel, namely to Europe. As of some recent events, I now feel that traveling internationally is something I have to do for my own progression as an individual: not just for fun and excitement.
I did get into coding and Neocities specifically because of my interests in true crime, but now like a lot of people, I've gotten back into it because of my exasperation with modern internet, namely AI. I've sadly been chronically online since I was in middle school; the early 2010s internet wasn't great, but it was at least more exuberent and personal compared to now. While I don't think we'll ever get that back, I wanted to try something different with my own usage of the internet that wasn't purely doomscrolling, being bombarded with advertisements after advertisements, and being recommended services built on AI or having it implemented in their features.
(Still a WIP)
